The new company will offer a wide range of environmental advice, design solutions and strategic direction to support sustainable and resilient infrastructure development.
Air Quality Consultants was established in 1993 and has become the UK’s leading independent specialist air quality and climate change consultancy. The launch of Noise Consultants in 2017 has allowed a joined-up approach to be offered to clients to meet their air quality and noise assessment requirements.
Logika Consultants will provide further complementary services to help clients to navigate the often complex and challenging path of environmental legislation, policy and regulation associated with gaining planning consent for development, to complement advice given by planners and lawyers.
Logika will also provide environmental design solutions to its clients by working with architects and engineers to support the development of proposals that have environmental measures fully embedded within them. These measures could, for example, improve flood management, increase biodiversity, reduce air pollution and noise, or help create beautiful places that improve the health and wellbeing of the people that use them. The key aim is to develop solutions that are most likely to add value and achieve planning consent in a cost-effective manner.
Logika Consultants will be led by Toby Gibbs, who was formerly the Global Environmental Sciences Service Line at Wood plc, responsible for the technical output of over 1,700 environmental scientists. He is an expert in providing strategic environmental advice to help clients navigate complicated environmental legislation and policy. Toby has also had key roles in the Environmental Impact Assessments of a number of major projects requiring a Development Consent Order (DCO).
