With keynote speeches from Richard Blyth, Head of Policy Practice and Research at RTPI and Gary Clark, Chair of the Sustainable Futures Group at RIBA, this event will explore the myriad of benefits that green infrastructure and nature based solutions can have when integrated into new and existing development.
It will explain why these solutions should be as integral to development design as roads, utilities and the buildings themselves. We invite everybody working in build environment design to join us including particularly architects, engineers, town planners and developers themselves.
The event will merge our face-to-face events with a virtual platform – providing networking opportunities, a panel discussion and debate, speaker presentations and virtual exhibition hall.
The event will be hosted by Toby Gibbs, Managing Director of Logika Consultants and will feature presentations from key speakers, including: Peter Massini of Future Nature Consulting, who was heavily involved in the development of London’s Urban Greening Factor; Gemma Jerome of Building with Nature, the UK’s Green Infrastructure accreditation; Sophie McCabe, Water Management Lead at Logika Consultants who will discuss the use of Sustainable Drainage Solutions (SuDS) in urban areas; and Ben Marner, Director of Air Quality Modelling and Assessment at Air Quality Consultants who will present on Air Quality Positive, a new London Plan requirement.
The free webinar will take place at on 29th March 2021 from 0930 -1130.
